A workshop for Waldorf grades 1-5 class teachers, subject teachers, and Waldorf homeschooling parents
Facilitated by Jane Wulsin of Green Meadow Waldorf School
This hands-on workshop is designed to help you learn and practice skills and techniques that will support and enhance your daily main lessons. Under the guidance of a master Waldorf educator with 35 years of class teaching experience, you and your colleagues will:
- Learn how to make the most of your work with block and stick crayons
- Practice main lesson book illustrations and form drawings
- Explore the purpose behind the artistic component of main lesson work
- Discuss healthy practices for the teaching of artistic skills through the grades
- Discover ways to bring out the artist in every child… and in yourself
We will be drawing! If possible, bring a set of block and stick crayons. Additional supplies will be available if needed.
Waldorf class teacher Jane Wulsin has been a member of the faculty at Green Meadow Waldorf School (NY) since 1979. Having taken four classes there through full eight-year cycles, she is currently back teaching (and drawing!) in their fifth grade classroom. Jane earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at the University of Florida and completed her teacher training at the Waldorf Institute of Mercy College of Detroit.
