An in-person professional development workshop for early childhood educators to explore specific opportunities and solutions for creating a Forest Program for young children
In this practical, hands-on event we will share and discuss topics that include:
- Identifying the opportunities of your outdoor space
- Designing a daily rhythm for a Forest Kindergarten, including rest time
- Clothing, gear, food, and shelter possibilities
- Circle time, puppetry, and handwork in the forest
- Communicating and partnering with parents
Opportunities for community learning will include small group activities, spending time in a working forest classroom, and lots of Q&A.
