Summer Series 2016 workshop, with instructor Motria Shuhan of Acorn School
For early childhood educators; also open to parents, grandparents, and others
The cycle of the year offers an artistic wellspring to guide our work with young children. Come join others in a studio setting and create seasonal craft projects that celebrate the unfolding year. We will explore the importance of working with nature and the seasons in both practical and artistic ways.
Workshop will include these themes and take-home projects:
- Getting creative with small nature displays for use on a meal table, hanging ring, or for children to take home
- Exploring the possibilities of wet felting with children
- Discovering the magic of small puppets and their accompanying songs and stories

Students who took a course with Motria in summer 2015 had this to say:
~ Motria was wonderful, knowledgeable, and approachable.
~ Great content, demonstrations, and advice. I learned a lot and had fun.
~ Motria has a great presence and sense of humor.
~ Motria was amazing. She helped us all to create something that seemed impossible.
~ She is light-hearted, kind, and warm. Her spirit radiates generosity and love. You should bring her back as often as possible. None of us wanted our classes with her to end.
