Inspiring Education Since 1967

Welcome to Sunbridge Institute, an independent, not-for-profit adult learning community. North America’s oldest Waldorf teacher education institute, Sunbridge presents world-renowned Waldorf teacher education programs, as well as professional development and general interest courses and workshops on Waldorf education and teaching, organizational leadership, and the arts. The teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf education, are at the heart of the Sunbridge mission, and we are dedicated to the support of Waldorf education in North America.

A few spaces remain in our Summer Series ’24 courses. Otherwise, stay tuned as we announce our 2024-25 workshop schedule. Applications for next summer’s teacher education programs will open October 1.

Professional Development & Introductory Experiences

In addition to our teacher education programs, Sunbridge also offers a variety of courses and workshops designed for seasoned educators and administrators, as well as for those who are brand new to Waldorf education. From our weeklong Summer Series courses to our school-year weekend workshops, we have a professional development or introductory experience to meet all levels of interest and need. And with many of these events taking place online, you can often attend from anywhere.
